Taking another break...

Things are starting to get busy with the holidays & many of us are traveling/have company in town so our play date will be taking a break for the next 2-3 weeks. Please check the blog for the next date/time.

Play date Wednesday, November 13 - Tigard Indoor Play Park

This week we'll head over to Tigard Play Park inside the gym @ Tigard Methodist. Cost is $5/kid or $6 /family (up to 3 kids) so for those of us with 2-3 kiddos the cost will be $6 total.

We will meet there 10-12 on Wednesday. There's also a coffee shop on site (Jubilatte) which serves yummy drinks & light snacks.

Wednesday, October 23, 2013 Playdate in the Park

It looks like Wednesday will be a gorgeous fall day, let's get outside and enjoy it.  Please join us at Elizabeth Price Park from 10-11 am.

Wednesday, October 9 - Pumpkin Patch Playdate

Hey friends,

This week we'll be hitting up Baggenstos Farm on Roy Rogers Rd. in Tigard/Sherwood. They have so many fun activities for the kids - it seems like it gets bigger & bigger each year! We'll be there 9:30-12:00ish. So pack a picnic & come check it out!

Activities are all free of charge, but their farm store has some great food/produce items & they have a great selection of pumpkins to choose from as well so you

may wish to bring $ for that. They accept  visa/mc, ebt & cash.

Monday, 9/30/13 @ Sky High Sports

Hi there, this week we'll be meeting at Sky High Sports in Tigard for Munchkin Mondays. Your kids can jump from 9a-1p for just $6. I'm not sure at what age they start to charge - Last time I was there, I paid for My 4 year old and didn't have to pay for my 1 year old. I tried to call to ask, but they didn't answer. :( they also have a new "Adventureland" which is geared towards babies & toddlers. Check their website for details on that! 

If you haven't been to Sky High before, it's helpful to complete a waiver for you & each one of your kids before coming in. They can be found online at www.por.jumpskyhigh.com

Wednesday, September 25 - Playdate @ Colossae

Hi there,

This week we'll be meeting at Colossae Church (12176 SW Garden Pl. in Tigard) for our playdate.  It will be nice to have a place for the kids to burn off some energy while it's raining out.  Bring a bike or ride-on toy for your kiddo, I plan to bring roller skates for Hayden.  We may even be able to get the bounce house up and running.  Hope to see you Wednesday from 10-12!

Thursday, 8/29/13 - Oregon City Day

This week we'll be heading over to Oregon City for some fun activities -

10:00 am - meet at The End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center

Admission is $5 for adults & kiddos over 3.  It has just been rennovated and has a children's activity center that will be fun to check out.  None of us have been here yet, so it'll be an adventure!  :)

11:30 - We'll head out on the Oregon City Trolley (free!) when it leaves the center at 11:30 to check out the sights of Oregon City.  There's a big fountain with a super tall slide in the city center, it might be fun to play there a while if time permits.

August 21 - CHANGE of PLANS

Thanks to Stacy, we found out that the trolley isn't running tomorrow. Sooooo...we are going to meet at Summerlake Park in Tigard tomorrow from 11a-2p instead. We'll hit up Oregon City next week on THURSDAY so we can catch the trolley so plan your week accordingly!! Please spread the word! 

August 21, 2013 - Oregon City Fun!

This week we're going to head over to Oregon City - we'll explore the "End of the Oregon Trail" Center and take the trolley on a little tour of the city & stop at the park in the center of town for some water play in the fountain. Wednesday, July 10 @ Ibach Park, Thursday @ Sauvie Island

Hey friends, 

This week we'll be meeting up at Ibach Park in Tualatin from 10:30-2 (or when kids meltdown & need naps, whatever comes first) :) 

This is a great park with water feature, sand, and lots of toys for big & little kids. There's not a lot of shade so plan accordingly. Your kids will also get pretty dirty/wet/muddy in the sand & water area so dress them in grubbies & bring a change of clothes for the ride home. Sand toys & dump trucks are also a great idea for this park.

TUESDAY, July 2 - Play at Willamette Park

Hi there! 

This week we will be playing at Willamette Park in West Linn - 1100 12th St., West Linn

There is a nice shaded playground & splash pad (so bring swimsuits, towels, etc.) We will be there from 10-1 tomorrow (Tuesday) Stacy & I decided to move it to Tuesday due to the holiday. We will be back to our normal day of the week next week. Hope to see everyone tomorrow!!!

Friday - June 14 Strawberry Picking

This week in addition to our skating play date at Oak's Park on Wednesday, a few of us will be strawberry picking on Friday.  The kids love this activity - picking strawberries and getting dirty is always lots of fun.  We will be meeting at 10:00 at Baggenstos Farm on Roy Rogers, picking then having a picnic lunch & playing at their playground afterwards. U-pick rates are $1.45/lb. and they have several varieties.

Wednesday, June 12, 2013 - Preschool Skate @ Oaks Park

This week we will be at Oaks Park for their Preschool Skate.  It's a fun time for moms & kids as we moms get to skate free!  They allow strollers on the rink as well which is awesome for those of us with babies.  (Not so safe to skate with little one in the ergo probably)  :) 

Here are details, I'm not sure at what age they start to charge for kids (I'm hoping I don't have to pay for JT), I didn't last year but he wasn't walking then...

4/3/13 Playdate at Cook Park

Well, the rain looks like it will hold off until Thursday and Wednesday is supposed to be 70! Let's take advantage of this wonderful spring weather & meet at Cook Park in Tigard.
We will meet at the main large play structure from 12-2.
I plan on taking a walk after play date to Tualatin Community Park, there's a great paved trail between the two. I will be bringing Hayden's bike as there are great places for her to ride. Hope to see you there!!

Wednesday, March 27 Easter Egg Hunt!

This week is spring break for a lot of us and Easter is right around the corner so I thought it'd be fun to have an Easter Egg Hunt!

It looks like a rainy day, so we will have an indoor egg hunt.  Bring your Easter Basket and we will hunt for eggs.  The church will be open at 12, the egg hunt will begin at 12:30!

There will be construction going on at Colossae this week and the weather isn't nice enough to meet at a park, so we will be canceling the play date this week. See everyone on the 27th!

Valentine's Playdate @ Colossae this week, Snow Playdate next week

Hi there,

This week we'll be celebrating Valentine's Day at our play date.  Feel free to bring Valentines for your child to exchange with friends if you'd like and/or a treat to share.  Please RSVP by posting a comment to the blog so we all know how many Valentine's to bring!  See you Wednesday Noon-2 at Colossae!  12176 SW Garden Place, Tigard.

Next week, a few of us are heading up to the White River Snow Park on Mt. Hood on Monday, 2/18.  It's just past Government Camp on Hwy 35.  You'll need a "Sno-Park" permit which can be purchased at Dick's Sporting Goods for $3.75.  There's a large area to tube/sled with your kids, build snowmen, etc.  We'll meet at the church parking lot at 10, and head up, have lunch and play for a few hours.  It's about 1.5 hours away and I guarantee your kids will sleep on the way back LOL!  Please talk to Karyn (805)340-6232 or Stacy (503)828-7805 if you are interested, if you need snow gear, let us know that as well- we have some you may be able to borrow.

We'll be at Colossae this week for another playdate (12178 SW Garden Place in Tigard).  Pack a lunch for you and your kiddos and enjoy the bounce house and indoor play area from 12:00-2:00pm.

Also, in the spirit of cleaning & purging for the New Year, please feel free to bring along any items that you no longer use that may be of benefit to someone else (i.e. I'm bringing several perfumes that I no longer wear and some household items).  Maybe you have a cute sweater or scarf that's not really "you" but is in great condition or something like that.  :)  We'll set these items on a table and everyone can "shop".
In addition, if you have any toys that are in good condition (not broken, have most if not all the pieces, etc.) for the wobblers class (18-24 months) and would like to donate them to Colossae, please bring them in!
